Kevin Kerchaert, AIA, LEED AP
Prior to joining Tecton Architects, Kevin was a senior associate at Du Bose Associates where he managed numerous large-scale education projects, including the $16 million Glenmont Job Corps Center, the 158,000 SF Hartford Sport and Medical Science Academy and the $26.5 million Tunxis Community College Phase I project.
Kevin’s additional market sector expertise includes master plan funding packages for Hartford’s Adriaen’s Landing redevelopment, mixed-use urban complexes, performing arts centers, museums, retail/destination, hospitality, public safety facilities, and corporate offices. In each sector, Kevin approaches project challenges as opportunities to collaborate with clients in the development of innovative and responsive design solutions.
In addition to his AIA designation, Kevin is a Registered Interior Designer and a member of the National Council of Architectural Review Boards. He is also an Adjunct Faculty Member and Master Thesis Instructor at the University of Hartford Architectural Program.
For the past 11 years, Kevin has performed with the Manchester Regional Police and Fire Pipe Band, playing at parades and cultural events throughout New England, New York and Europe - including the Fulda Military Tattoo in Germany. The band volunteers their talent at memorial services for fallen police officers and fire fighters, and sponsors fund raisers in support of wounded veterans of the Afghanistan War as the Allied Forces Fund Band.
