Patricia Hine, IIDA

Patricia N. Hine, our dear friend and respected colleague, passed away Monday, March 7 of a brief and sudden illness. Pat received her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from the University of Connecticut and also studied in the graduate school of education at UConn. She was actively involved with a number of professional organizations including the International Interior Design Association and the City Center Task Force.

Pat joined Tecton Architects in 2006 as an interior designer and project manager and rose to the position of Associate. Her work extended across all business sectors, including the corporate, education, healthcare and advanced technology markets, and she designed and managed projects for such high-profile clients as Prudential Retirement Services, ConnectiCare, Farmington Bank, MassMutual, Aetna, The Travelers Insurance Company and the State of Connecticut.

As a talented and accomplished designer, Pat understood that truly successful interior spaces must respond to the people who experience them. She skillfully integrated progressive workplace design concepts, advanced interactive technology and sustainability into each project to create design solutions that continue to inspire exceptional collaboration, communication and teambuilding.

Pat will be greatly missed by her co-workers at Tecton as well as the many colleagues and clients she worked with over her career. We extend our deepest condolences to her parents Thomas and Catherine Tracey of Windsor, Connecticut, and to her husband, Steven C. Hine, and daughter, Rebecca, both of Wethersfield, Connecticut. We invite you to share a special memory of Pat at http://tectonarchitects.wordpress.com

In celebration of Pat’s love of reading, her family has requested donations be made in her name to The Wethersfield Public Library, 515 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
