Tecton announces E3 Virtual Design and Construction Studio for Education projects
On January 1, 2010 Tecton Architects announced the formation of the Public School Architectural studio within Tecton Architects’ Higher Education design studio. The new Tecton group – known as the E 3 Studio (Elementary, Intermediate, and High) – will be Directed and managed by Jeff Wyszynski, AIA. Both the firm and firm individuals bring decades of excellence in the design of Public K-12 school facilities. This group will also be joined by John Tocci’s Q5 Virtual Design & Construction Division on a consulting basis.
The E 3 Studio has been organized around the principals of collaborative integrated project design (IPD); building information modeling (BIM) based technology and virtual design and construction (VDC) methodology with the overt goal of delivering new concepts of distinction and excellence in public school design to the communities of the State of Connecticut.
