Research and Study - core Tecton values - led to an intensive investigative study of what was an available site at a significant gateway location in downtown Hartford, CT. This analysis evolved into a proposed Concept Design, resulting in a dynamic and dramatic mixed use Office and Retail building concept.

The proposed 15 story design incorporates a full height central atrium, to bring highly valuable daylighting into the core usable spaces of the building. Also facilitated by this central space is an innovative ventilation concept, which allows for natural ventilation to dramatically reduce the load on traditional HVAC cooling and heating systems.

Tiered roof gardens and cafe, with integrated high tech photovoltaic systems, provide a truly sustainable, livable and aesthetic extension to a very well received proposal, that appeals to all the senses!
