Rogers Corp.
Aging facilities (i.e. late-1800’s) and a desire to attract the best talent spurred the corporate initiative to upgrade research facilities, consolidate operations and increase efficiencies. Working with Rogers on pilot line, lab and corporate work, Tecton has completed a 10-year master plan, reorganizing the entire 20+ building campus to reposition Rogers in the international materials research market.
Renovation of the Lurie Center R&D facility transformed the vintage factory to a modern “idea center” by simplifying and strengthening circulation and expanding intersecting nodes with a variety of impromptu, colorful, day-lit meeting spaces. The new high tech entry lobby with “touch-down” stations, shear glass façade and terrazzo plaza reconnect the researchers to visitors and the corporate campus.
Several proprietary and highly specialized R&D Pilot Lines have evolved since our working relationship with Rogers began, giving us the opportunity to grow the facility design specific to the evolving and never-before-seen lab processes.
