Westover Job Corps Center - Classroom Building
The Westover Job Corps Center was designed in multiple phases and includes a new 26,000 SF classroom building, four dormitory renovations, major site electrical and parking upgrades and landscape improvements.
The new classroom building and future vocational-technical buildings will create an academic quadrangle with a courtyard plaza designed to greet pedestrian traffic. Brick veneer and a cement panel rain screen system complement the existing campus design, and the bold use of interior color gives the building an inviting and energetic presence.
The project presented the special challenges of master planning multiple current and future design and building phases from inception and meeting stringent state building and energy efficiency codes.
