Working in close collaboration with the developer, town zoning officials and tenent businesses, Tecton designed Buckingham Plaza as a site that would appeal to both tenents and customers, meet stringent zoning and appearance requirements and maintain the unique branding mandates of both national chains and local retail businesses.
The completed project is a suite of charming clapboard, natural stone and pitched-roof buildings that flawlessly blend into the New England village atmosphere of Glastonbury, Connecticut. Colorful seasonal landscaping, carefully planned plaza and shop access and ample parking further complement the setting and create a pleasant and convenient shopping experience.
Construction was completed within one year of groundbreaking and the plaza has consistently enjoyed full occupancy.
